Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about QPlexCloud and qStack — integrations, deployment models, the API and how to get started.

What is QPlexCloud?

QPlexCloud is a vendor-neutral control plane for building, standardizing and operating modern infrastructure. It manages hypervisors, bare metal and Kubernetes from a single, API-first layer — on-premises, hybrid or fully air-gapped.

What is qStack?

qStack is our lightweight, auto-managed Kubernetes platform. It reduces OS overhead, automates the full cluster lifecycle and can deploy and automatically join clusters — running lean on bare metal or VMs, online or air-gapped.

Which systems does QPlexCloud integrate with?

QPlexCloud orchestrates across the building blocks of a typical IT estate — hypervisors, Kubernetes and its derivatives, bare-metal servers, databases, monitoring and observability, CMDB and ticketing systems, networking, and hardware out-of-band interfaces. It can pull data such as CMDB and tickets, push data back to monitoring, and drive hardware directly.

Can QPlexCloud run fully on-premises, without a cloud?

Yes. QPlexCloud is designed for on-prem and air-gapped operation. There is no call-home, no external telemetry and no cloud dependency — every function works inside your own perimeter.

Does QPlexCloud provide an API?

Yes. Everything is accessible through a full REST API with webhooks, so you can automate provisioning, build self-service portals and integrate QPlexCloud into existing pipelines and tooling.

Which hypervisors are supported?

QPlexCloud sits above your hypervisor layer and manages VMware, Proxmox, KVM and Hyper-V side by side — so you can switch, migrate or run several simultaneously without changing how your team operates.

How does QPlexCloud handle data sovereignty and compliance?

Data residency, access control and audit logging are enforced at the architecture level. Combined with on-prem and air-gapped operation, this supports requirements such as GDPR, DORA and NIS2 — control stays within your borders.
